New! Artistic variations

In this week you can experience and learn various forms of artistic expression, using different materials and techniques. Our teachers will introduce you to the art of seeing, drawing, painting and they will help you to develop a sense of sculpture with alabaster, the soft, transparent and mysterious stone of Volterra. During the October course, you will also have the opportunity to experience the wrought iron.

Course dates

* 2 days painting course, 1 day carving with alabaster, 1 day wrought iron

€ 798 per person, 1 week (7 nights)

Rate includes :

  • Accommodation in double room for 7 nights (arriving on Saturday and leaving on Saturday).
  • Half board (buffet breakfast and 4-course dinner, drinks not included)
  • 2 days of painting, 2 days of alabaster sculpting (20 lesson hours per week)
  • Free bus transfer from and to Volterra on arrival and departure days for guests travelling with public transport.

Rate does not include:

  • Single room supplement (€ 175 per week)
  • Drinks at dinner
The course "Artistic Variations" is organised by the German association for Education "Dialoge International e.V." and is carried out in cooperation with the Italian cultural association "Villa Palagione Centro Interculturale"
